. I really hope your sale goes smoothly too. I'm sooo relieved at not having to keep the house this tidy for any length of time, or have to have streams of strangers through the place. Only downside, I've no more good excuses for spending a fortune on flowers

House has only been up for a day and we had an offer from the couple who viewed last night!!!!!!! . They were our first viewers too!!!
OMG, we don't know what to do. They want to move in on 13 April (OMG< that's Friday the 13th)
We have rejected it (are we mad?????). EA says it's a great offer as the couple are renting so there's no complicated chain etc. but she also says we should never accept the first offer.
EA has left a msg for the viewer we have booked for Saturday so they can come earlier if they want to as any offer we accept isn't binding until written.
So, EA is off telling the couple we want more. She has a figure we would accept immediately, and is going to call me back

pmsl. Funny you should say that. My OH's nickname is Chookie and whenever I'm stressing about stuff he says "don't worry, chookie luck has never let us down yet" .
I just hope Chookie luck works it's charms on DIAC and they give us a visa soon so we can get out there and get on with it .

We're still reeling a bit. In shock to be honest. Been checking out rentals tonight and there seems to be enough in the area so I'm going to make some calls tomorrow. Got a surveryor coming tomorrow for the buyers, and their written offer (subject to survey) has already been recieved. Feels like everything's in fast forward .
