Few years ago our cruise ship called into Gibraltar, we went up the hill, into caves, saw all sorts of wonderful things learning a lot about the history, it was a great day. As usual we chatted about it when we returned to the boat and found that many of the Poms had either spent the day in the British Pubs or in Marks & Spencers looking at exactly the same stuff that they could have seen in UK, only advantage was no VAT but not a big enough saving to cover that day's cost of the cruise. Long ago we decided that it was better for us to holiday than spend time shopping.
