old british share certificates
My mum is cleaning out her house. She has found some old share certificates in the UK. Some of them are very old: think most of the companies have restructured in some way so all the company names have changed, rights issues performed etc etc.
What is the best way of finding out what has happened to these shares: couldnt find a website..

Re: old british share certificates
I'd start by contacting the registrar at the time of the issue (should be named on the certificate). There aren't many registrars and I don't think they have changed for a long time.
If that doesn't work I'd probably try the London Stock Exchange as that is where they will have been traded on
