I used to go out with a magician and we met him quite often in blackpool and butlins in pwllheli. he was a good laugh actually, bit moody sometimes and often joined us for drinks after shows. He was alright, not particularly racist or sexist, quite nice really.

Lots of show people drink too much, its part of the circuit, you spend a lot of times in clubs
