Default Offered a seat on the train

Bloody knackered on the way home from work today......and the express train to joondalup was chockers. There I was, feet killing me, all 5 foot of me hanging on for dear life as it was standing room only........when a woman (who looked about the same age as me) offered me her seat. 'Nah, your alright' I said, lying through my teeth as my feet were by now throbbing quite badly.
'Come on' she said.......'you need it more than me as you are older'??????????? .

I didnt know whether to laugh or cry.
Anyway got chatting to her and she said she was 19 (thought she was about 35!!!), then I told her I was 38. 'Really' she said.........'would have said you were late 20's'
Didint tell her I am way on the wrong side of 40!!!!
