Hi all
I'm off to UK for a couple of months (whoo Hoo!!) and have an unlocked iPhone. Want to get a sim over there and use for browsing emails etc... I'm new to this iPhone lark (taking the sim out is begining to worry me...)
Can anyone recommend a temporary PAYG service that's good

I bought an Orange sim of eBay a few weeks before it was needed. Popped it in the phone activated it and it was ready to roll in the UK.

Had to talk to their call centre though because they wanted a UK credit or debit card to put credit on it, which I have but it's not registered to a UK address. If you don't have a UK credit/debit card this may be a problem for you.

I have that problem with my UK sim which is Orange as well. I get my family to go and buy recharge vouchers and then just give me the number from them. Once I have the voucher number I can top up online, but you're right, Orange won't accept a card with a non-uk address, even if its a UK card like Lloyds!

I've got a payg with O2 and it has done me OK - I bought the sim in an O2 shop (not a micro sim admittedly, I have a 3gs iphone) and as long as I top up £10 in a month I get unlimited downloading (it's probably got a limit on it now) with a "bolt on"

When we went to the UK last year, we just bought a cheap mobile for £10. It had £10 of calls on it, so was essentially free.
