Hi,
Just wanted to know if there are any of you from Northamptonshire taking the plunge??????? We have got 136 Visa and are going for a reccie next month:thumbsup::thumbsup:

me and my future wife are from Northampton, and we are in the process of getting our visa, we sent the visa in November, so hope to be out there by October, ( we are getting married in september).

I cant wait.

We are in Northampton, got a 175 visa just need to sell the house which is taking longer than expected!!!! Will be going to Perth SOR hopefully sept/oct time.

I am from Rushden, I moved out 12 months ago to Brisbane and love it.

Trust me and no offence but it is like paradise compared to Corby, Northampton, Wellinborough. Actually, Northamptonshire.

Where you thinking of settling or is that the reason for the reccie ?

Nice to see we are not alone then lol. Yea not to sure where we would like to settle just now. Heading for Brisbane 1st, then popping down to Melbourne to see some friends towards the end of the reccie. Its ice to some that some locals have already taken the big step go and are liking it, cant wait for our trip bit nervous though and dont really know what to expect.

Hi Pat,

We're in Milton Keynes so not too far away from you. We applied for a 176 in November and we'll be heading for Melbourne - hopefully by the end of this year.

Good luck with your reccie - have a great time, and congrats on getting your visa.

I'm originally from a small Northamptonshire village, and then Brixworth before moving out here on and off since 2001. Love it - no regrets!

Mate that was probably the hardest.

We used to go to BUG JAMS, Summer nationals and loads of events.

Anyway we have Archerfield raceway here in Brisvegas, not the same but good.

Anyway some you lose some you win....

I left the northants area and am better for it, I think If I returned to UK I wouldn't even more back to Northants.

What school did you go to Harrip? Moulton? I was in Moulton until about 1991....wonder if I knew you (lived Moulton then Brixworth then Chapel Brampton..

OK.

I waited for ages to get to Brissie and then suddenly I am living here and have don so for a while.

Enjoy your time there, a time will come when you will miss it and it becomes a distant memory.

In my experience because I have left the UK.

I wished I had paid more attention to my last few months there rather than panicking about house selling etc.

To be honest it will all work out in the end.

Just enjoy what is around you now, it won' be there for long.

I suppose I will miss something at some time, but I'm finding it hard to figure out what that'll be at the mo!
