No More A Virgin

I have just been broken in to my first cyclone and glad to say, survived. By about 2am we had about 40mm of rain with winds up to 120km/hr. I thought if this is it, then I'm a player. I fell asleep about 2.30am and woke abt 7am to find water extremely close to my front door and it was still pelting down. It began to recede slowly around 8am but left trees broken everywhere. I received a couple of my neighbours trees (never requested them) and my fence took a bit of a battering but I'm glad to say no major damage. I'm sure I said I wanted a boring year but as its me, I think thats an impossibilty.

Brissy is no where near the main cyclone routes. It's a once in a blue moon for the lower quarter of QLD to be hit. People keep telling me we're due for one, last one down here was in the 50s. I'm happy for it to put off for another 60 years :fingerscrossed:

Glad you have come through unscathed. The fences can always be replaced.
