Nicknames

So what handles have you been known by.........and why?

I've had three.

Chan
Amongst my football team because I used to entertain them with card tricks. It's after the magician Chan Canasta.

Delboy
At work as I used to wheel and deal and managed to sell stuff to weird and wonderful countries when they couldn't sell it in the country it was produced.

Bix
A derivative of my name.

'Damo' in work circles. 'The fat Vitch' during my brief rugby career, a bit of a play on my surname and 'Snoz' in social circles due to my ample nose.

When I was marching my feet would be at quarter to three position. Some wag nicknamed Kipper (kipper feet)
Didn't find out about the feet part until years later. It made me very paranoid and I used to shower one hell of a lot.

Never had one other than Pen. The husband has always been called Pikey. Even when we moved here and he got a job where obviously no one knew him, within a week or so someone called him Pikey  His current job he'd been at two days when someone asked him if he was a pikey. He doesn't look like one but show him a skip and he'll find something worth having (to him) to put in the back of the car.:lol:

At school:
Cloughie (how imaginative!)
Brian (see above)
Secretary (cos I wore glasses)

Sailing career:
Mole (cos I used to peer around, and also my crewmate was a girl called Rachel - we used to get Ratty and Mole)
Mae (as in West - apparently it looked like I was always wearing a life jacket)

Family:
Mole (see above)
Vince (based on a misunderstanding about what type of creature Vinnie was in Deputy Dawg)
Ethel (cos I'm a proper old woman who needs nannynaps and a blankie)
Nova (twas my mod name - Himself still calls me it and all my other moddy friends still refer to me by it. Its also one of my gamer names so my sad freaky gaming friends call me either that, Dreamy or Ikeisha)

I can't remember the last time someone called me by my real name.
