Hi everyone!

We are Nicci and Steve from Essex. We are just in the process of booking an agent to emigrate to NSW to be near our friends. We have no idea what we are doing :confused:

Steves a plasterer and im a secretary, when im not mum to 4 girls aged 6, 6, 3 and 1. :huh:

Welcome.. Advice . get your husband fixed ;) four is enough.

Look though the forums for advice on agents.. There a few common ones mentioned here, and make sure that they are registered , and give you a full cost breakdown etc.

Hi Nicci and Steve,we are Newbies,Phil and Steph,we have our consultants meet on Monday19 Feb,i work for Texaco,Steph is something to do with finances for the Isle Of Wight Council,we are hoping to nip over to The Perth area,though i may have a job offer in Bunbury.We have friends out there,at the moment its quite daunting,what do we do ,when do we do it, how do we do that.Im rubbish at paperwork,so i will leave that to Steph.[I]f we can be of any assistance.Kind regards Phil and Steph.

hi nicci and steve, phil and steph we too are newbies, we are mark and kate, have two boys jack 6 and scott 1. we are just getting together our tra package at the mo mark is air conditioning installer, we have been thinking about this for soooo long and now i can't wait. we are thinking of going to brisbane nothing set in stone yet. look forward to getting to know you all :)

Hi Nicci and Steve, Phil and Steph and Mark and Kate, we too are newbies. We are Nic and Rich and have a 2 1/2 year old called Alex and a 5 month old called Emily. We are looking to make the move probably to the blue mountains area - will make final decision within the next couple of weeks Look forward to following everyones progress.

Hi all,
We (cairsty & neil) are 2 weeks into the expats site - have been thinking about emmigrating for 2 years - finally decided it's time to go. OH is a spark. We want to go to Adelaide (went last year - fab) We've got 2 girls 3 & 8.

We are just starting to gather TRA info - found the guy who trained neil (16 years ago) this afternoon and he remembers him:rofl: if thats a good thing:lol: which will help with the apprenticeship details.
Here goes guys - lets have fun on the rollercoaster ride!!!!:eek:

Its the Trades Recognition Australia ........depending on which VISA you gor for you have to get your skills assessed.
A good place to start the process is the Australian immigration site whish is http://www.immi.gov.au/.

we are having a meet in March on the 25th in Bristol if you fancy it?

Good luck if you need any help these guys on here are great.( thats for all newbies)........just ask away an ye shall be assisted.

There are loads of jobs that you have to have your skills approved for!
