new zealand learners driving licence to ?
hi guys
my mate is from new zealand and drives around on a new zealand learners permit she does not have any au permit is this legal? she thinks that she can just book her formal driving test on her nz permit and then she is a p plater with an aussie d l is this right????? we are in wa

No!!!! She will have to have a full/open licence to be able to swap it for an Australian one. If she is caught driving on the NZ learners, she will be prosecuted.
"Learner permit holders from other Australian States and Territories are exempt from taking a theory test."

thanks for that x its how we read it , which we have shown her but she is having none of it and says we are wrong :curse:
