First suspicion was because I was not expecting anything from FedEx. Second was because the email address was
FedEx Courier Service [[email protected]]
No idea what they hope to achieve.

Yes, I was getting a lot of DHL deliveries to my old email address(last country/still occasionally after 1yr+ ).
I now deal with DHL here sometimes and they have an option to report unsolicted emails when you call up - so guessing total scam - don't know how it works thought.

Hope this helps.

You email back even an innocent message that you aren't expecting a package, triggers a flag that the email address is active, you receive a million spam emails a day.

I delete any emails like this automatically even if I am expecting a package.

Loads of them about, I've seen Fedex, DHL, TNT and Aus Post.

Don't click on it, its usually a virus.

I've had a few of those. I delete them automatically, as the only parcels I get are from the UK and either contain knickers or chocolate. (Apart from the one MP sent me which contained a snuggly robe- thanks again)
