Nespresso
What's this all about? I see a fancy new store has opened in Perth (where Quiksilver used to be) and it's always busy. I don't drink coffee but it all looks a bit OTT to me.
What's the deal? |

Re: Nespresso
Ok for free at work. I would not pay for it.

Re: Nespresso
Really handy, compact and easy to clean machines. I looked at them a few years ago but couldn't bring myself to buy one for a number of reasons.
So I continue with a plunger that cost about $17, and I still make great coffee. |

At a bit less than a dollar a pod that makes for an expensive habit.

Re: Nespresso
We have one in the tea room at work and one of the girls buys pods in bulk at Meyer, but I don't bother. The coffee is shite so I'd rather walk 2 blocks to Cafe 54 for a decent cup of coffee.

Re: Nespresso
We have one at home and love it. No mess and even I can operate it. Top of the range here is about $800 -900.
Bought the same in John Lewis for £195 plus a £50 cash back. Lugged it through Heathrow and reclaimed the 20% VAT. Now drink the coffee with sugar and a huge smug look on my face. :p TD |

Re: Nespresso
Our boss was given one for work- it is vile. (I drink fairtrade decaff made with a cafetiere - refuse to say plunger unless forced- but it is easy to use if you want to do so.) I killed the 30 year old coffee filter machine, so in a way it is my fault. The boss is into technology, and was after a coffee machine anyway, so she used it as an excuse to get the new one.

Re: Nespresso
For me the best has to be a half decent espresso maker. I tried Nespresso and it was crap.

Don't believe in paying good money for a takeaway coffee that tastes like dishwater, in a cup that can only usually become landfill. |
