Negative Comments

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of the threads have people responding with really negative comments. While the truth is important I just feel that the enthausiasim of new people is being extinguished.

I'm sorry if that is so Jock :(

Please remember for every negative there is a positive.

In many walks of life anyone who is unhappy or discontent is more likely to grumble, complain and make themselves heard.

It is usually the silent majority who sit back and have no need to gutterate.
Maybe that's what you are seeing at the moment.

An imbalance but not necessarily reflecting the state of play.

What we need is for everyone to physically smile when they type.
Put's a different reflection on the words that come out from the fingertips.

:)

Are they negative comments or people's own viewpoint which may not match yours? This is a public forum and I suppose we have to get used to people telling it like it is, from their viewpoint which doesn't always meet with our own.

Entusiasm comes from within. I personally wouldn't be influenced either way by people's comments or views as sometimes your reality might not be theirs. Take what's on here with a pinch of salt and enjoy it for what it is, a social network - some who are happy, some sad, some serious, some funny, some positive and some negative. The pre-requisite is everyone being slightly unhinged:lol:

Enjoy the site;)

It can seem like that but in the main, people reply very positively. There has been a certain amount of negativity recently but it's not normal behaviour and hopefully it's over now. Some people don't use smilies and it can be hard to judge what tone they are 'talking' in.

Remember, a forum is made up of every type of person, including people you may not have anything in common with and have a different sense of humour to yourself. Go with the flow, it's all good :D

I agree for a new member seeing all the dummy spitting & 'flouncing' that's been going on the last few days they'd probably be thinking WTF!?

Forgetting that I think it's business as usual, positive & negative opinions, realists, rosetintists & antagonists. The Olympics is probably rattling a few cages at the moment making people a bit more vitriolic than usual!

I agree with bcworld. BE is slightly out of kilter at the moment and you shouldn't take it too much to heart. New posters can be sensitive and the forum can seem a little daunting at first.

PS we are all a bunch of losers, sitting in our seperate studies around the world. I don't think anyone should really listen to us anyway.

Yes. You just become more and more belligerent and immune to twonkers after a while.

I personally have perfected the 'arsehole poster alert system'. Everytime an idiot posts my backside tweaks.
