Default Name that game! (OT)

Grrr, just typed a whole post and lost it. Anyway, it went along these lines:

My nephew has requested a board game for Christmas, only nobody can remember the name of it. You have to race against a timer to put small yellow shapes into the corresponding spaces of a board, which (from memory) wobbles about - 'cause of the timer. If you don't get the shapes into the board in time, than the whole lot pops, scattering shapes everywhere. It's hilariously good fun - if you're six, like the nephew. It's been around forever - I remember playing with it when I was about his age.

A Google's getting me nowhere, as I have no idea what I'm looking for. There's karma for the first person to help out.

Thanks,
GG

Perhaps you mean the succinctly named 'Perfection' game?

Karma please.

I found Perfection ... But I can't find that on a UK website - even the Hasbro one. So I thought maybe it had a different name in the UK?

Bloody kids, bloody Christmas ... <mumble, mumble, rant, rant>

Karma for effort.

So it certainly used to be called Perfection in the UK, too. Wonder why it's not on the maker's website? This may call for an email ... Or the nephew may end up with Ker-Plunk.

Thanks for your help, H.

Used to be owned by Action GT in the UK....Milton Bradley ... Now Hasbro ... I think.

There's a version in Woolworths and I think that it was Chad Valley who do it... (UK woolies though)

Right, the sleuthing will have to wait until tomorrow - it's hometime.

How does a six-year-old know about a game that had its heyday in about 1973?

If you do a search for "Perfection" on the toysrus uk website, in the toys section, you get this as the top result:

Perfect Match

Can you tell which couples are made for each other? The electronic Love Meter with lights and sound tells you what happens when boy meets girl. Be the first to pair up all your cards with a perfect match to win. For 2 to 4 players

Get him that instead And he'll never talk to you again

Hasbro do have Perfection on their site, but it's in the US one...
http://www.hasbro.com/default.cfm?pa...roduct_id=9474

Which helps you not ... But they still obviously sell it. Maybe all those little pieces are a choking hazzard and the EU has stopped them selling it...
