Are my views 'out dated'?

Are my views 'out dated'?
Just felt the need to ask this question.... I always thought I would be a progressive thinking parent but recently felt that this is not the case....
So - one night stands - ok? No cheating involved - free single young folk...Is it different and more acceptable for a bloke or a woman?
Your views please.

Depends on the circumstyances but generally ok, for both guys and girls.

girl (young adult) enters pub - chats and flirts with said young man - end up in night of passion - then leaves in morning without any further conversation/plans etc...?

Sadly, I think a woman who regularly has one night stands is regarded worse than a man who does the same... though neither is regarded highly imo.
I don't think it's what people think or moral standards that are the issues with one night stands... rather the potential risks associated with having sex with a relative stranger (ie physical/emotional dangers or health risks.)
People do it. They survive. It's just a risk probably best avoided if possible.
All the best.

I just think it's wrong - morals etc....And yes it seems to matter when it is someone you know/love/care about.
I am not sure if this view is outdated though. But if it is - then I have to accept my views are 'out dated'.

I prefer girl on girl. Is it more acceptable than bloke on bloke?

I think its fine for the individuals involved.
They will need to wear the cost, of any, reputation it might bring.
Once people know, and talk about it, and it happens all the time, then the rep might be called into question.

I agree - but does the reputation include how others see it being reflected upon them as close friend/family?

What does that mean? Your reputation being damaged because your friend shagged some strange bloke? If thats what you mean, I think thats incredibly self involved.

I don't think a persons sex life would affect how a family member might be perceived by other people.
I would be more concerned for the welfare of the person having casual sex than the person who worries about how it might make them look.
