Oh, that's GROSS.

Have you got a picture of your puppy, he sounds lovely, I love chocolate lab puppies Though not when they're eating their own poo.

Can you whip the poo away before he gets a chance to tuck in?

I couldn't read the whole of Dorothy's post, it was too disgusting. Bleuggghhh.

I'm getting a puppy soon, I don't want to know about their dirty habits. I like them cute and sweet, not devouring poo.

Where's a puking smiley when I need it for the rankness of his breath?
Hi AVW's OH here you've had some stunning replies some more humerous than others but none giving you any help some people believe that this is because your pup is lacking something in its diet but in my experience it is because your pups diet is too rich look at what you are feeding it as they get older their needs change so if you've not been through it before don't panic just ask for help I had this problem once changed diet no more problem

My friend's got a 11 year old female black lab-who still does this!! Not sure but think it's something to do with 'cleaning up' their patch or taking undigested nutrients back in Apparently there is a pill you can get that makes the poo taste bad so they wont fancy it (maybe ask vet)-or you can try courgettes which apparently do the same thing??

Dogs eat poo, we eat McDonalds

To be serious for one short minute, this has been brought up before do a search. I sure I've read something about giving them something which puts them off eating it.

We got a female black Lab about 11 years ago who ate her poo from the word go now because our at the time we had a baby and a toddler we had to keep the kids and our boxer dog away from the Lab ,so because it wasn't fare on the Lab to keep them apart we decided to give her away,i wonder if your mates dog is the same dog if so thats alot of poo eating if not i would certainly think again about getting a Lab they seem to be the poo eating kings of the dog world.
