Default Mussels or Marmite

Please answer a simple family argument with a straight one or the other choice, dont want to put a 'both' option as i just want to ascertain which is the more popular. The mrs and the littlun say marmite, i say mussels. Gonna do chilli mussels today for a family get together

Ta in advance,

Nev

Actually I prefer Vegemite but Marmite will do in this instance.

Tasmanian mussels gently sautéed with a pinch of saffron, a few finely chopped shallots, a smidgen of Montrachet 1978 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and a large table spoon of Marmite but Bovril will do, served with warm, crusty French bread and Normandie butter...for the win!1!1! By all means drink the remaining Montrachet with your Bovriled Mussels or Mussels a la My Mate (at almost $25,000 a bottle, it shouldn't be put in the fridge for the next time you have mussels).

a bit of a strange question really as the two are not comparable.

Marmite is really for breakfast on toast or a snack whereas mussels are for lunch or a starter or with frites as a main course. Mussels can be served when friends come round whereas I think your friends might find it a bit odd if you served them marmite on toast!

I put marmite as I eat it more often but also love mussels.
