Which way is Mecca?
It's over there Abdul last Sty on the right!

You have to laugh at the sheer absurdity of it, fancy buying a block of land to build a Mosque right next door to a pig farm:rolleyes:
I reckon they both work for the local tourist board:sneaky:

So basically not the story that the first link would have us believe? No proof that the Muslims asked him to move, he and his 14 neighbours just don't want a muslim chuch to be built on a bit of land near them.

Can't say I blame them for objecting. My former local community hall gets used for Friday prayers, muslim celebrations, etc and the the congestion in the local area on such occasions caused havoc. I don't miss that aspect of my old life in the UK at all.

Would any of you complain if it were a church and not a mosque?

I'm not complaining at all I just found it absurd that the Muslim community would purchase land next door to a pig farm then try to get it closed down.

Exactly the same thing happened back in my old town in the U.K Cleethorpes[the last resort] We had a theme park called Pleasure Island & opposite was an old nightclub called the Pink Flamingo. The site of the old Flam was sold for housing redevelopment & being opposite the theme park you'd think people would only buy there if they weren't bothered about the noise. Nope, cue one grumpy old bastard that bought a new house opposite a theme park & then sued because of the noise:rolleyes:

Fox News is just another media outfit, ring-wing sure, but then a different viewpoint to the left-wing bias of most of the World's media. I get plenty of my news from left-wing outfits like the BBC, ABC and CNN.

Please don't call me a troll, that's name calling in my book - something that I am very, very good at responding to.
