Default MOVING TO MELBOURNE ANY TIPS

I am in to minds where to go when I move out next year. Its out of Perth or Melbourne I really like them both but I think Perth is going to be a bit quite. Any tips on suburbs in Melbourne got up to $500 max for a house is it do able it is just in Perth not sure about Melbourne.
Good advise needed...........

I'm looking at Melbourne too.....

My OH is lift engineer and fits stairlifts so should have plenty of work then

I do have an elderly uncle living there & my parents visited recently 7 said like a retirement vilage!

There might not be as many staircases as you expect. Once you get out of the centre most houses are single storey.

Must have missed my previous post!!! He is a lift and hoist engineer so I am sure we will be fine.

Anyway he quite fancies being a kept man!!!

Never really noticed that... I bet I'll see shed loads of oldies now though... Just like when you want a baby, & everywhere you go there are pregnant ladies & prams!

Never been to Perth, but like anywhere IMO, it's what you make of it. $500k could get you a palace, or an apartment... depends on whereabouts in Mel you want to settle. Where we are, it would get my vision of a palace.. & more!
