The thing is though, it's not all cringeworthy or tabloid - some of these people genuinely seem to like the way they are received in Australia.
I was saying to my wife that in general I like the way the press receives foreign competitors at the Open - anyhow. It's not all sour grapes. I liked the way both winners were 'courted'. Get it?
