Default Are the moderators machines?

Was wondering if the moderators on here are actual human beings.

The reason I ask is I get the feeling that they may not be.

Machines usually have a hard time applying rules. So the more human beings we have as moderators the better.

Anyone has any thoughts pls. respond. BTW: moderators. I am interacting with others here. If you want to prevent me doing this. go ahead and delete this.

Have you read rule #15?, this stops discussion of moderators action in the open forums, so you are unlikely to get that many replies.

No, they're not. I have met some of the mods on here in person and can verify they are in fact robots. I modded on BE for a couple of years and I, too am 100% cyborg.

I've met 3 mods from the Aussie forums and can conclude they are very much homo sapiens with distinct and individual personalities.

I would say they are normal but you would have to know me to assess what my normal is.

However, what normal person puts themselves in the shoes of a voluntary mod position which is better described as situating yourself between a rock and a hard place.

Rules are subject to interpretation as are the circumstances in which they are applied. There is a lot to be said for common sense too.

PS
I cannot vouch for Old Sparkles whom I suspect may be a leaky bottle of champers or indeed for Alf whom I suspect is a garden gnome.

Moneypenny20 is definitely a machine but I suspect that all the others are at least partly human

So what happens if you put a penny in her.. or does it have to be 20 to get a reaction?..

Didn't mean to be a curmudgeon with my first post, but it was just to remind newer members about the rule, didn't know if the OP was gearing up to make a complaint..

I believe it a requirement for all new mods to buy bottles of wine for each of the other mods, and a case of red for Sue.
