Default Milk and Bread prices.... slashed ???

$1 for a litre of milk, $1 for a loaf of bread...

Yes, that's right, a price drop of about 6.5% for the milk (from $1.07 to $1), and 15% for the bread (from $1.19 to $1) ... Not what I would call slashed, as some have said...

I say again, what is it with bread and milk?

Surely you'd stockpile something that would keep if, say, you had no fridge ...

You subscribe to Mr GG's school of shopping. He went to Woolies t'other week and came home with 20 tins of baked beans and a shed load of loo roll. Both were on offer, apparently.

One kinda necessitates the other, I s'pose, so there was some logic.

It's usually more a function of what I can be bothered to cook. Beans on toast are always an easy option.

Student life taught me nothing if not how to cook simple meals

How are you Madam?

How is the new arrival settling in?

Unrest in the Middle East (Egypt) may well be having an effect of fuel prices?

I think you've been had, cheapest around here is 20c less than that. ULP can be had for 124.1 and B20 diesel for 131.7.
