Question for those in OZ....

What is the procedure for getting a private plate down under? Is it similar to the UK in that you find it, pay loadsa dosh for it and then drive around like yer posh or something?

no its very cheap, and very simple. pluss it is easy to transfer the plate to your next car. think it was about $300

There's a guy who lived near me in Leeds, he has CRA1G.
Happens I hadn't seen it for a while and was up in Masham showing some Aussies a good brewery and there the blighter was on a convertible black BMW 6 series.



I would've loved that reg in the UK. Don't know what I'll get here though.

My husbands reg is S1 UMO, I bought it for him one Christmas. Couple of strategically placed black screws make the 1 into a T

Just bought my husband a personal numberplate, it cost $395 and you just hand your old one in at any Queensland transport office and fill in a form.
Costs nothing!
