Back peddle. Admit writing bs and stop attempting to worm your way out. If not for WA, Australia's economic situation would appear rather dire at the moment.

The borders were indeed given thought as you put it, when Morrison gave his support to Clive Palmer attempting to force border opening through the courts. Obviously when the bigger picture was viewed, that being a Liberal massacre in WA, he pulled his head in.
Never really tackled WA on the issue again.

You are lying again now about back peddling. Per capita is an irrelevant measurement. It's the money in the pot that's important. A piddly 10% tip doesn't count.

Your probably right. Time to cut the drain of NSW on resources and set you lot 'free'. to own 'resources'. WA could form a union with more like minded states or indeed go it alone.

McGowan says no to forming a union with any other states. You are on your own for WAxit.

The problem with that of course is, mining is so hot and cold. Just like in the last mining slump, it's a one trick pony economy, and you need the other states to prop you up during the tough times.

Yes it is. But NSW economy? International Students, turbo immigration growth , tourism, house inflation, coffee and unproductive money chasing .

I have said before and will again. WA would most likely run the risk of becoming akin to Pakistan. Ruled by a small group of elite family groups. Most connected with mining where dissent would be at own peril.

I don't believe any of those industries make it in the top 10 anywhere in Australia. Finance is no. 1. Other professional services no. 2.

Iron Ore is languishing at no. 7 closely followed by coal. Any coal in WA?

I thought you'd come out with finance. That being productive how exactly? At least a barista makes coffee. Other professional services? Already mentioned the real estate industry . I suppose the 'call girl ' area, servicing all those burnt out professionals'
would add to GST.
Yes WA does produce coal or did in the Collie region. No idea what game play is like these days. But no matter the exploitation of mineral resources is saving Australia's bacon at the moment.

I guess you wish to live in a society where in your mind, moral obligation takes precedence over making money. Good luck finding it.

Not really. Just a balance with some actual productive things of worth taking prominence. You know adding value. In place of money lenders , real estate agents, finance 'creative' wizz kids types, Preferably
where accountability is called on and corruption not considered a game plan.

As I have said before, you need to broaden your mind and find a new career where you don't feel so old and persecuted.

Making things, if that's your thing, comes in many shapes and sizes for many industries. For example, in your neck of the woods, a professional service could mean being part of the creation of a mine. To many, there is satisfaction there and a healthy salary too.

Onwards and upwards.

Thankfully don't have the need nor greed to be in the never ending race for more. What I refer to is ethics something quite possibly you have never been burdened by. Most things that come under the heading 'financial services', I suspect, society would be better off by culling.

This clip is controversial but is basically, in a crude way, right. The desire to make another buck (or lot's of bucks) has driven so mush innovation and progress it's not funny - the Western world basically. The Medici family (bank) in Renaissance Florence financed much of the art and culture that is seen as pivotal in the development of Western culture - and they weren't in the game for shits and giggles. The industrial revolution - which drove the Anglosphere to world domination - was not done for fun. Colonisation - which has been of enormous benefit to both the 1st and 3rd worlds - was largely driven by the desire to accumulate wealth. etc etc

Therefore, as old Gordo says, greed is good - and it bagged him Catherine Zeta Jones, who at the time was smoking hot
