Default Melbourne Hotel

Hi

I am going to Melbourne for the weekend in November, but need somewhere to stay. We are only going for Sat and Sun, so want somewhere close to the action, but not too expensive!

Also, its our first time there, so any recomendations of what to do whilst there would be cool!!

thanks

Have a butchers at this place....

http://www.medina.com.au/medina-exec...orthbank/hotel

We stopped here a few months ago.The facilities were excellent, fully serviced apartments that have just been done up.We booked via the internet with one of the last minute sites and got the room for $ 130 when the hotel quoted $ 500 !!!!!
Only 2 minute walk to Crown so its well placed.

Oh no, is it?

Well the flights didnt seem to be too badly priced, less than when I go down for work. So maybe we'll be alright with somewhere to stay.

Just re-read my post, and realised that you were asking me, I hadnt put in any dates.

Then I looked it up and no, luckily its not, we are going at the end of November.

I would recommend......shop, grab a coffee, retire to hotel for swift disco nap then head out for a meal and then on to as many of our fab bars that you can fit in one night.

If you're only here for a weekend it's too little time to waste sightseeing so best to do what the locals do.

We stay at the Mecure on Swanston Street as its close to China Town,Bourke Street Mall and all the shops. Usually have a twin room which suits us very well.
