Mechanics in Cairns???
 
Anybody living/moving to Queensland know how much on average a mechanics month wage would be?

Will it be easy finding a motor mechanic job in Queensland? Or any info on Mechanical work in Queensland?

I've just had a quick look and theres plenty of work up here in Cairns for mechanics, thing is none show wages and to be honest not many adverts do show what the wages are for jobs, you find out over the phone or interview I suspect.

Ok thank you thats great to know Im just looking for a suitable place for us to relocate to. x

With the mining boom, could a motor mechanic not be a diesel fitter. Big bucks to be had for a diesel fitter especially in Mackay and out at the mines. Good luck.:thumbup:

Yes I suppose he possible could but as we have a baby daughter we need to be reassured there will be some kind of job opportunity for him. x

I agree.
Not close to it but diesel fitters do earn a heap more than motor mechanics.
Wage in Cairns was about mid $30k for motor mechanics.
