We ended up going with someone else for our broadband as Telstra couldn't get that organised either.

:curse:
It took Optus 3 months to transfer our account to the people renting our old house. And then there were months of jiggery pokery as fees were added, deleted, added again, fines imposed, fines removed. Lots of hair tearing out phone calls.

I've not had that with Telstra.

Now we have a rather nice package with Telstra, 25Gig a month cable broadband extreme (17 Mbps), Foxtel, and home phone all with Telstra.

It comes in at about $200 a month, so probably not the cheapest, but we get all free local calls, and $10 of here and a $10 off there for having all with the one provider. Mostly the cost is $90 for the broadband, $80 for Foxtel, and $30 for phone line

As I said at the start, show me any other provider who can offer fast cable broadband, foxtel and home phone in this area for less, and I'd go with them. But, they don't exist, and the service we've had from Telstra has been good, so no, I know its fashionable to have a dig at them, but really, they're ok, but a tad expensive.

If you're getting 17mbps and Foxtel and phone...not so bad after all.

I'm paying 110 for phone and internet - and that is 512/128!! lol.

Well obviously I never get 17 mbps, but its quite stunning sometimes when I download a programme from www.thebox.bz and it downloads in 2 minutes for a half hour programme.

I'm with Telstra - they are expensive, but its a good service.

25GB limit, 20meg download speed (actually get about 14meg)
Getting 50% off for the first 9 months out of 24.

Also, we moved house over Easter, me being a slacker I did not call them until the Thursday morning, phone and internet were all connected back up by the next Wednesday (2 working days)
