I remember asking my cousin who is a policeman a good few years about this and I am sure he told me that in Scotland there is no law. It is up to the parents to decide if the feel their child is responsible enough to be left alone. They must have a house key and access to food. If i am wrong I am sure someone will correct me lol.
I do know that my son has to be 14 to look after someone elses child, or was that to look after a younger sibling ?

You're right. There is no legal age in the UK but there are firm guidelines.

I see they are now suing the Portugese Police Officer.

This whole matter beggers belief that the message I recieve, is they have done nothing wrong in their actions last night.

They like the media attention, it would be great if the media are setting them up for a big fall in the near future, divine justice I'd say.

Your comments beggars my belief to be honest but hey, nothing like a lynch party to make someone's day, is there Hope you're not on a jury if I ever make a dreadful mistake.
