Took this on holiday in the outback last easter...surely this qualifies as a masterpiece from a Prado ? :lol:

Has anyone been and can recommend it?

My 15 year old went with the school, he studies Spanish as a second language, hence the excursion.

He really is not a art person but said "you would have liked it" .

If its like the Picasso one, limited pieces but well selected, and very interesting to see european art in Australia.

If you are ever in Melbourne, go into the State Library (free admission), some very interesting portraits of Australian historical figures. I was wandering round behind a tour guide and some fascinating stories behind the names.

Great, thanks for the feedback jad !! I enjoyed Picasso but I think it is because I forked out on a guide so I think I might do the same for this one.

I agree, the State Library is a must do. The reading room is just great. They had a Ned Kelly exhibit when I was there with almost complete armour but I had to do my own interpretation of the other pieces and it's rarely anywhere near as satisfying as hearing the back story from an experienced guide.
