Default Massive brisbane storm this afternoon.

More reliable than scientific evidence

I have to drive back from brisvegas this afternoon between 3 and 6 pm. No real storms this season yet. Odds on what will happen this afternoon

I have a horrible record of bringing massive storms on when I do this meeting so watch out And stay off the bruce highway

Makes me homesick - I love a good Brisbane storm (as long as I'm home). I think it's rained about five times over a year here in Dubai, but it is winter, so we might see a couple of showers soon hopefully.

I love em too, just not when on the highway

Weather reports are "possible storm' most days now, the same report goes till about march

Flaming hot today, will probably melt into the pavement as soon as I step out the car.

I've also got tons of washing to do before the Big Move next week.. so that's a double guarantee of a storm in SE Qld.

Yep, pretty scarey when you're in your car. I've been stuck out in a few of them, coming down Mt Nebo one day (with nowhere to go) the hail stones were the size of golf balls. Didn't get one smashed window or dint in the car though - they should use it for advertising Toyota Landcruisers. I was sitting in our car with my three kids asleep in the back when a mini tornado came through Woolloongabba a few years ago, thought the car was going to blow over.

We had an hour of heavyish rain and now all gone but high winds. I want a proper storm but they seem to bypass us most of the time. Tank's doing well so that's the main thing.

I just love sitting and watching the lightning flashing around the clouds. It just goes on for hours and hours.

There were a fair few dark red bits today too.....thats the RAIN, almost a black bit at one point too, out near Samford.

Personal observation for those who follow the Bureau warnings, we do seem to be getting a lot more this year - they appear to be issued more often, with little change from the last one. However because the Media jump on each one as it comes out the storms are getting hyped more, when in fact they've not been that spectacular....yet
