They are just making it up as they go along now though. The story line is getting very thin and tired.

I've watched the first 5 episodes of series 5, no idea how, my partner puts it on my laptop and i just watch it no questions asked..lol

This series definately better than the last, agree that it does drag on, its the only thing i have ever watched, that the more i watch, the less i know and the more confused i am..lol

Cant stop watching though, i will be really annoyed if its a 'dallas' type end, with that dream sequence..lol

God knows where it's at on Australian TV, I have never bothered waiting to find out.

It's on Episode 5 in the US right now and it's the best season yet, real sci-fi and much less will-she-wont-she love interest crap.

Not at all, Lindelof and Cuse have always known the entire story. It's locked away in a safe in a "secure location".

All they did in Seasons 3 and 4 is spread the main arc story out and introduce some more side threads, which was only done because the network forced them to spread the story out and milk it for the ratings. They didn't want too and now that the show is coming to an end they have been forced to go the other way and accelerate the telling of the arc.

Which is why this latest season is densely packed with canon answers (the plane, Smoke Monster, Four Toed Statue, Rousseau, etc). It's basically broken down in to three distinct chapters, the first of which is now coming to an end with the telling of the beginning and end of Lock's "mission".

Hold on a cotton pickin' moment . . . you mean 'Lost' isn't based on the real life adventures of a plucky but unlucky group of air-crash survivors, that they are in fact just making it up as they go along, in a fictional sort of way?

I am not enjoying it much now either but I can't stop myself watching. We've just had episode 5 so will set my sky + for when I am away. Thanks

Lost . . .the televisual equivalent of picking a scab.
