What are BE thoughts on inserting chips in your children like pets. That can be removed when they are in their teens (or maybe twenties).
Might seem weird until you think about the parents anquish in situations like this

Even with 2 ASDs in the house it is weird.

We have 3 but thanks for the sentiment
I am only advocating discussion and hopefully some insightful alternative solutions.
Kidnapping is also a fear that I have, mainly from a childhood incident. And prepared to take extreme measures to resolve

It might be useful in cases of older folks with dementia- though I have visions of them being scanned at a checkout, lying on the conveyor belt- which isn't really funny I know, but my mind works in mysterious ways.
If the police carried scanners then they could "read" the address or contact number of a guardian and be able to get the person to safety.

We have the technology to instantly detect so why not use it?

I think that is a great idea! If a life can potentially be saved then yes, why not?

Some kind of location device might have helped in other cases though where children are hidden alive for some time and thus not found. Shannon Matthews maybe?

No, almost certainly not. Whiting seized her cos the opportunity was there, she wasn't already lost or anything, and she was killed quickly- sadly in her case it would've done no good. Might have helped to locate her body though, that was a long and difficult search.

Except the process should be made more painful, and an ability to send randam sparks of intense electricity? to ensure the system is working of course.
