Where's Mike Stanton Esq. when you need him.

My view - if you can, or want to, and afford to do what London does well then you're in.

London is a great city and I lived there for 17 years. Is it the best in the world? It depends. For me, it was when I lived there, but it's not now. I think it's a great place to live if you're in your 20s or early 30 but after that there are better places to live. There are also good alternatives to live when you're in your 20s and 30s.

London does have a great geographical location (fairly much being in the centre timezone for the world's landmasses) but it does have its problems. All cities have their plus points and their minus points.

At the end of the day if it was the greatest city in the world then everyone would be moving there.

They could do with improving the main airport. They could add a few more travolators and make it appear more modern (like HK airport). Not a good first impression for tourists.

Did the commute thing for three years and lived in Hither Green (aka Catford) for 1. First experience of being a minority (the only white face on the bus)! Twas great for a short period tho, never had any aggro at all, despite being a very "rough" area. Think London would be way too fast for me these days (on a daily basis) tho! must be getting old

Just be thankful you're not leaving from CDG (Paris). Not only is it a concrete monstrosity, I've seen better facilities at ABZ.

Such poetry.

With Sydney buried way down the list, it makes London smell like Chanel No 5 by comparison.

Used to love the Jamaica Patties, had a soft spot for fried chicken, but never gave the Goat Curry a go, until I got here... There are heaps of places that sell it around here.
