I was under the impression that since Chris lived near Logan that was partly his reason for posting.

If it was to run down Australia then all he did was run himself down, as he lived (near) there, and chose to (and still would live in) QLD. Further more people who start posts 'running down' countries tend to see them backfire. As Chris knows, or should know.

So it's just news.

Unless the Logan Bogans are going to riot properly, have a 12 round stoush, all caught on some bogans iPhone (and how do they afford one of those on the dole) and properly end up with something worth attending court over, the helicopter story gets my vote

Apart from the inevitable little digs at least you can see it for what it was, it clearly suits the agenda of some to twist it but I think most see it a piece of news.

Chris lived in Logan. Logan is actually a large council area with many suburbs and this trouble was in one particular suburb, Woodridge, across the motorway from where Chris lived. Actually in one particular street from what I could gather.

It is unfortunate for Woodridge as it already has the reputation as the worst suburb in Brisbane and combined with some surrounding suburbs tends to drag down the whole reputation of Logan. It is not all terrible as Chris would attest but does have too many outer suburban low socio-economic areas clumped together.

For gods sake I just so sick of people reading between the lines, adding 2 + 2 and getting 5. I have said many times that the area we lived in was very nice indeed and there ar many things we miss about living there (not the termites). It just amuses me that some here dont seem so morally outraged when something is posted about the UK, we dont seem to get the same ridiculous posts.

There is a distinct atmosphere change as my morning train stops at Woodridge I'll concede you that, the locals do tend to be more ... Strident ... Forthright ... Etc ... No worse than the Chavs of Chatham, Kent, The Utopia Of The UK though
