:D Pietersen made 158 which basically saved the game for England. Collingwood played a vital part in taking up time at the crease even though he only made ten runs. When Australia finally bowled England out, they only made four runs before the umpires ended the game due to bad light.

No one ants to talk cricket here....funny that. Can't understand why! :D

Dunno...but all that matters is we won!! :D Think the weather was a bit crap and they ran out of overs  or summit like that. I don't confess to know a single thing about cricket & I don't think I ever will!

It was a good effort by the "South African" lad, Pieterson. Oh and the Substitute fielders, all 20 or so of them did a great job.

Sorry, I meant what the hell happened to the website when it went down.

As for England, bloody brilliant, they deserved it and we'll do again down under next year.

Langer, Hayden, Martyn, Katich, McGrath, Gillespie, Warney are either coming to the end of their careers or aren't good enough. Where's the Aussie players gonna come from in the future?

...maybe they should try South Africa. :D

Shame the same cant be said of the "Elf" and his little troops....
They must be so thankful for Warney bowling so well or it would of been an even more embarassing series loss.
2-1 isnt a true reflection, given the pressure the public and the media put on England they played superbly, 3 or 4-1 was a more realistic reflection of the series.

All we need now is Henman to down Hewitt in the Wimbeldon final next year

Re: Let's Talk Cricket

Don't be too concerned, a great sporting nation such as oz will always have plenty of quality players coming through. I doubt it will take 16 years to get the Ashes back! ;)

But anyway, well done on the win England. Next time you play in Oz, if one of your star players is announced to be injured, I doubt the oz public would be cheering like bad sports. Oh and I doubt English players will get death threats like the aussie players did - I suppose losing for so long, does make people frustrated tho, so we'll excuse you lot this time. ;)

Enjoy................For now!

It was more a case of the aussies slacking off after the first test, rather than England playing with all mighty skill, as some might hope.

There's the aussie open before Wimbeldon. Oh, can't win anything away from your home ground? :p The way Federers playing I doubt anyone's gonna be beating him for a while anyway & if he does lose, it certainly won't be to Henman. England has more chance of winning the next Ashes, than that happening.

agreed, he has to be one of the top sportsmen in the world at the moment. If he carries on like this he could well be one of the best ever.

Dont think england have won it fair and square really, as the rain played a major part.

They had a survey here on skynews, asking the public if there should be an extra day added in the case of bad weather, about 80 pct of aussie respondants of course said yes ;)

Thank your lucky rain, that you got it by default. ;)

(just in case stir stir)

Yeah, let's have an extra day in every test. Then it would be 4-1.
