Congrats on that then, time flies when your having fun! We went back for the first time after 6 years, wouldn't have trust my daughter to get back on the plane any shorter than that and even then we thought she would be staying up until the last minute!

I think sometimes its difficult for everyone, my kids have made a few friends but they say the friendships aren't the same here, Aussies seem to make lots if friends but not many " deep" , long lasting type friendships that can be formed in the UK. They miss that type of friendship. I know aspies have their own special outlook aswell which may not get appreciated either

Is he at school or work? ( forgive me for asking if you've already told me). Would you go back to visit aswell? I'll probably wait another 6 years before I go back again

He did a brief course at TAFE but the only job he could get was delivering junk mail so doesn't get to meet too many people. I've tried persuading him to do another course but without success. Whether I go back depends on work, timing etc - haven't booked anything yet as can't find any decent prices. He wanted to go in June but think he may have to go later in the year when the prices come down a bit - was hoping he would change his mind so I've also been delaying

I think he would probably be okay going back - and my daughter can meet him at LHR - but it still makes me nervous thinking about it :o

I think you may have a lot on your plate at the moment then, so maybe you should take some "me" time |
