No flights booked yet  We have big plans to really get cracking now. I'm clearing out and freecycling like a mad woman and Dale is getting all those little jobs done in the house that really need doing. I am awaiting today's instructions

How about you Jan, any nearer getting in your own house now? Although at least you're in the rental so that must be better :)

December

The boy will be 6 in January and we think he'll be starting school then too so we wanted him to be new with everyone else rather than new on his own if that makes sense  He's so shy he'll have trouble settling so we want to make it as easy as possible for him.

edit: hello :)

It'll be here before you know it. I couldn't believe how fast our last few weeks went.

We get into our house on 5th October. Can't wait.

Are you still heading for Perth?

it'll happen for you, it's got to
i reckon you need to write a list of what has to happen between now and then, by when and in what order
stick it on the fridge and tick the things off as you go

You are right, that is what I should do. I will get Dale to do one with me later so we can focus a bit better on what we should be getting done.

He's got a house waiting to go through auction and we're a bit stuck until that's sold as he only owns half of it so we can't leave it unsold. It should have been sold but the new purchasers failed to come up with the money after winning it at auction  It's not going in until the end of October so it's a real worry for us that it's going to delay us. Well fingers crossed for a nice clean sale this time.

I have to leave soon, everything is breaking! My oven has broken (I normally use it every day!), my dishwasher is on it's way out and now my tumble dryer has packed in. Not helped by my sticking a screwdriver in a hole and seeing blue sparks coming out :o probably not repairable after that

Pointless buying new stuff now.

I'm rambling, I forget where I am sometimes

Lots of little things really Jan, nothing too major. Initially it was house prices but they're rising on the other side now too. I don't really know where we'll end up settling to be honest, we're just going to get out there and move on to the next place if things don't work out :)

Best of luck to you. I'm sure you'll succeed no matter where you decide to settle.

If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to start saying your goodbyes now... we just ran out of time.

I'm not saying goodbye to anyone - I'm doing a runner

I've told my friends I shall maybe tell them the month I'm going but that'll be it!
