Indian or dodgy Chinese takeaway, as I haven't found either here.

A good "Full English" then you won't need to eat on the plane!

Fish and chips! First time I had them in the UK, I realized I'd been getting gypped all these years in Oz.

If you were in the north, I would say fish, chips and curry or chips and gravy from the chippy. That is my treat when I go back there.

I was 51 before I had decent fish and chips. A cold April night in Liverpool, had a couple of friends over to the holiday flat we were renting. The blokes went to get fish and chips and I couldn't believe my eyes when I unwrapped my packet. A huge piece of cod, lovely thin crispy batter, and golden brown chips, proper big fat ones.

Lucky I don't eat fish and chips often, because that totally spoiled it for me. Tried our luck at a new place down the road, on Good Friday - tiny bit of something (certainly wasn't cobbler as advertised), thick batter that was gooey underneath, and pale, skinny chips. Blagh!

Stir fried beef with green pepper, chilli and black bean sauce, all served on a bed of crispy noodles washed down with Chinese tea at my favorite restaurant in London's Chinatown followed by a snowball for dessert from the bakery further on down Gerard Street

Surely it would be whatever you want at the time? You're coming to Australia not Outer Mongolia.

If it was Brisbane the jury would be out a while as to which was better (Outer Mongolia being odds on)
