I think the call he is doing is a distress call, he is clearly vocalising as he is upset, he reminds me of a siamese cat I fostered who would sound like a slaughtered pig when we were out of the room and minute we came back in, had the cheek to almost look embarrassed, he just had separation anxiety.

Re: This is just wrong
Cats don't meow all the time as PP says. Our old Burmese used to make a sound like a slaughtered pig sometimes! I often wondered what anyone passing our flats front door thought we were doing to him!
With our new kittens one of them has a really weird meow, sounds more like one of those creatures from Star Wars! |

Re: This is just wrong
I want two cats!! A pure black oriental and a seal point Siamese. I used to have a lovely pair of cats just like this. Unfortunately the male got jealous when I had a baby. The day I caught the male cat attacking the baby they had to go to a new home together. :(

Re: This is just wrong
My 9 month old boxer pup barks like a seal! She hasn't got a proper bark at all. I will try and take some video if I can!

Re: This is just wrong
Cats are funny creatures. :) Years ago I lived alongside a pine forest plantation and had a dog and 2 cats. I used to take the dog for long walks across the mountains along the fire breaks. The cats would join us for the whole hike.

Re: This is just wrong
One of our cats likes to growl at the dogs.
They always look so confused when she does it. When one of the other cats was a kitten, he'd been watching the dogs worry at a dog toy and decided he could do it too - he yelped and snarled and growled at it with great gusto, but he seems to have lost the ability now. One of the dogs likes to imitate Chewbacca. They're not normal. |
