Just been to a Auction
Thought I'd check out prices in my immediate vicinity. As I think the Market could be changing, only two bidders.... guess how much. It sold about 20 mins ago.
http://www.realestate.com.au/propert...burg-106447450 How are prices going in your area ? |

Re: Just been to a Auction
630,000 K.... I doubt if they would have got much more even at the peak 2 months ago. Although I'm sure there would have been more bidders then.... Very small block, 280sqm but really well finished house.
Could be a totally different market in 4 weeks I reckon, so the sellers did really well. Should be interesting these next few weeks and if there are any other reports from today. |

Re: Just been to a Auction
Eastern suburbs in Sydney are currently auctions on steriods. Prices are insane. If your bidding you run a serious risk of Repetitive strain injury raising your arm so much.

Re: Just been to a Auction
A bit depressed after looking around our area this morning. Prices very strong.
This little 2 bedder went for $750,000 last week. http://www.domain.com.au/Property/Fo...did=2008254889 So I've decided to settle on this one: ;) http://www.realestate.com.au/propert...gton-106492778 |
Re: Just been to a Auction
Looked at this one this afternoon and the agent reckons she has already knocked back an offer from someone for $740,000 WITHOUT EVEN SEEING IT. I've seen it and it needs $100,000+ spent. How depressing.

BTW I was down your way recently and talked my way into the tram depot (Prowse St, Brunswick) which I assume is in your area. They showed me and the 4 yo around. He LOVES the trams. Very urban, interesting area with great tram links. |

That is gorgeous. Would almost convince me to live up in the city. Give it an acre or so of land around it and I'd be happy.:D

The acre of land around it has roughly 7 cafes, 6 clothes shops, 3 book shops and brisbane's largest antique centre  Far more versatile than a paddock :D

2 bedroom unit in Glen Waverley would do me, but nothing under 400,000 for that! I dont think there are as many frantic buyers out there now. In fact I'm sure there isn't. Not sure whether prices will go backwards in a hurry though, maybe just stay put or drop very slightly. Definitely more rentals around, as the people in the sold house in our area, reckon thats the only bonus to them in having to move, is a much better rental market.. They are going to move to Preston to be nearer the Chinese and other Asian restaurants in High St, plus more music venues there, and expect to save maybe 20 to 30 bucks per week. . |
