This should be good news for those of you who worried about the delays at LCU.

Though we were on 136 MODL so that may have sped things up a bit??

Back to the champers for us, and all the best to you all

Steve and Ange
We are on 136 MODL and went for our meds in August.... They arrived there on Sept 10th...... From threads on here it looks like they are processing beginning of Sept so I am hoping to hear soon.

With all the successes this past week I now feel quite optimistic - not that we can go until next year anyway!!!Just to have that visa must feel amazing! Enjoy your champagne tonight steve and ange!!!!!

You can email the LCU direct..... If you look on the delays at the lcu thread you will see details of the info you need to send....

Mine is a paper based application and I have a Case Officer - I am sure if they had all the info they needed I would have my visa now...

Ours will be a while yet- we had meds on 13th Oct but even though we brought a diabetes specialist report with us we still have to see the consultant again just for the same report! That appt isn't until 31st Oct so then I guess we will sit in the LCU pile gathering dust for a couple of months!

Our police checks came back after 41 days, a few days after the end of the postal strike.

We are not planning to go until next summer so even though speed is not of the essence I still want to get the visa asap! Just to know we had it and could stop worrying if we were going to get it!
Ditto!!!

Sorry, forgot to say, we are hoping to go to Brisbane, around Cleveland area. We have family there and it seems to appeal coz of size and opportunities available. Lots of good advice from every one on here to help you narrow down where you want to go. Good luck. babs

Question Re: June 07 visa applicants

Morning Junies - I hope all is well

I have a case officer.... Nice surprise for a Monday morning...

Now the thing is, the letter has requested my medical details. I've done these, and they were received at LCU on 30th August. What do I reply and tell them?

Help!

Excited but confused Claire (mainly due to jetlag - I got back from a fortnights recce to Melbourne and Sydney on Saturday )

If you read the letter you will see that there is no need to send a copy of the receipt. I just emailed with the country I had meds done and date they reached the LCU. If I remember correctly this is what they tell you to do...

Congrats by the way!
