JJ Cale dead of heart attack

May he rest in peace.

Stunning voice, sends shivers down my spine and takes me back to my wild student days in Brighton when we would listen to his stuff late at night.

sadly, the era of all of these greats to die has arrived.

my favourite was Cocaine, incidently, which Clapton covered as well

I know it's one of Clapton's concerns - that there's just no one around playing this any more.

Cocaine is another that drags me straight back to the same era, late nights, homebrew, biker boyfriend....those were the days!
