Default Jet Lag tablets

I'm off to California in a few weeks. I'm not looking forward to the 20 hour flights. I get really affected by Jet lag. Someone at work was telling me about jet lag tablets that canhelp you get over the effects. Does anyone have any info? Can you get them over the counter? I know something is available in the US but not sure about Australia.

Melatonin tabs... not sure if they're legal here but it looks like you can buy online:

Cherries have high amounts of melatonin in them. You can also get a homeopathic version of melatonin tabs... dunno how you feel about that.

Just got some Melatonin at a chemist in Perth CBD. I'll give it a go.

There's something called "No Jetlag" or something like that (depends on which country bought in). Made in NZ. Homeopathic. Available at Oz airports in pharmacies, newsagents. Have taken it in the past and I thought at the time it seemed to help.

I take a Melatonin on my first night in the new place and seems to work a treat. Went to Cali for work in Jan, really crappy flight with Qantas, slept very little. Stayed awake until normal sleep time, took a Melatonin that night, had a great 12 hours sleep and had no jetlag for the whole duration.

HTH
