It really shouldn't be necessary to point it out.

It's impossible for western governments to withstand another GFC, they simply don't have the resources to deal with one again. Therefore next time the financial system collapses.

And since people like you are OK with allowing the bankers to get away with their behaviour and corruption, the only lesson they have learnt is that there are no consequences. Nothing significant has been done to remove the risk factors.

Thus we can be certain there will be another GFC, and we can be certain that the financial system collapses when it happens. We all end up as Greece - and you do have to wonder if that weren't the plan in the first place.

Anything is possible, so lets all work for governments, join unions, and keep all the goals, ambitions, corruptions, and risks, well below the parapet just so we don't see GFC2 and be like Greece. ...... oh and grow beards and wear flares.

Thanks, I've done that.

I don't read the Daily Mirror, I quoted it and the Times and Financial Times on Brown's gold sale and some of the myths about it. You choose not to read or believe what is in a paper which isn't to your political tastes and it also appears you choose to do the same with papers which are.

Jeremy Corbyn.... the love child of Michael Foot wearing the 1979 autumn collection from Milletts.

If representing the UK on the world stage, the UK hasn't got a chance!

Face it, bumbling fool overlaying a Machiavellian heart is not a career impediment for a male politician of a certain type.

The other Jeremy (Clarkson) tried making lots of jokes about Jeremy (Corbyn) on HIGNFY last night. In a classic case of the kettle calling the pot black he kept on deriding his appearance. Richard Osman in particular relentlessly 'extracted the urine' from Clarkson. In a little throw away joke which might have some substance, Hislop said you can joke about beard, sandals etc but that might just appeal to middle England. Cameron got a slagging, particularly re pig. Osman said rather than use the p word to describe what he allegedly put in the pig's mouth they'd call it a Clarkson.

HIGNFY, while funny, is a leftie, anti-UK love in and is way past its sell by date. Hislop and Merton do nothing else

Glad you enjoy it

Agreed. But with Clarkson now hosting the show that could be about to change.
