Cold here at the moment. Grey, overcast and drizzling. Forecast for the rest of the week pretty similar. Metcheck are predicting strong to severe gales for midweek (on or around the summer solstice) thanks to an over-active jet stream.

Quote from the site: "So for the time being it's time to tidy away the garden furniture, put the BBQ cover on and get ready for a very unsettled week indeed!."

Chucking it down here. Now not complaining, well not much, except that the GC dam is chock full and overflowing, so we don't actually need it at the moment and I was under the impression we didn't get much rain during winter - I wish someone would tell the clouds - we have landscaping to do and can't because the ground is so sodden

Bloody hell, how much rain have you had? :scared:

We have a rain gauge & have had 23mm (less than an inch!) since the 6th of April .

It's positively parched here - we've got cracks in the ground .

Must get one of those - guaranteed to be dry after that No idea to be honest, but our shell of a pool had about 2 inches of rain water in the lowest bit two weeks ago, and now it is about 5 or 6 inches deep. We have finished the retaining wall and levelling around the pool using the earth from the hole, and it is mainly clay - Kevan walked round last night and even with a couple of inches of roadbase on top, his boots sunk about 4 inches It's wet down here!

On the dark side I feel for the farmers.....
