Irish Dancing anyone ?
My daughter competes in Australian Irish Dancing competitions and has done so for a few years now. I just wondered if any other forum members are involved in the AIDA Feis scene ? Thats all.

"Tis an expensive hobby. I was a form teacher to a set of twins and then the younger sister who used to do it. Their dresses cost over one THOUSAND pounds. And I thought swimming was expensive at $400 a suit (which lasts 4 meets) not that I ever pay Aussie prices.

Yep, Average price for a dress is a grand, and two pairs of shoes plus interstate flights and accomodation etc. makes it a very expensive sport. my daughter is going through a growth spurt right now, 3 dresses in 3 years and shoes only last about 6 months so it's hard on the wallet, good fun though and we meet some lovely people along the way.

My niece is an Irish dancer and has won a stack of trophies. She is in Ireland though.Dresses are very expensive. They wear hair pieces and make up for the competitions. She loves it but it is an expensive time consuming hobby.
