Interstate removals Sydney to Perth - help!

Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone has moved interstate from sydney to perth - or has any tips on interstate removals. We haven't even any idea on prices or best companies. Having recently moved from the Uk all our gear is still packed and now ready to go to Perth - after finding jobs there. Any advice would be great! Cheers.

There's a poster called Rudi who recently moved from Sydney to Brisbane - not as far as Perth I know, but if you PM her she might be able to give you some feedback on removal firms.

We moved from Adelaide to Perth 18 months ago and used Pickfords. They moved our overseas shipment and we were happy, so used them again for the interstate move.

Ours was just over $4800, but that included my car and them packing. Yours should be less, since your things are already packed and I'm assuming you don't have a car to ship.

We used Grace Bros ,filled a 28ft container which was put on rail to Perth and
can be held at no cost to you in their storage area till you want delivery.
With insurance it came out at $5000

That was Griffith to Albury by road, rail to Melbourne then rail to Perth which
would be similar to Sydney/Perth in distance.

Personally I would stay with the bigger operators as they have more staff and
storage at this end, you don't want to feel hassled in getting a place to stay
just because the removalist wants to unload
