I also think it's hugely disturbing that the newspapers have been able to publish the names of those involved.

But these families had moved around the country, never staying in one place that long, and the children had had no real contact with the 'outside' for a number of generations, seems like they had probably invented their own language as well. Will take many years to sort out, and the children will, probably, never be 'normal'. There are probably such groups in many countries, but it's only those with vast uninhabited areas that they would be able to get away with it for so long..

They haven't. They've given them names to protect their identities

Thank goodness for that, I couldn't understand why any names had been used.
Just in case anyone thinks I have comprehension issues, I read a different article to the one posted by sonly, which didn't have the following information:

'The NSW Children's Court has taken the rare step of publishing its judgment of actions taken to remove children from the Colt family (a court-appointed pseudonym to protect identification of minors).'

With so many problems resulting from incest, makes me wonder why so many intelligent people believe we all descended from Adam and Eve, and didn't evolve.

The privilege more than makes up for the defects...
still bloodclotting diseases aside (in the case of the Russians)...I think some of the Royals do not do too badly. Some of their constituents are far uglier.
Where is the line between being 'well bred'..(silly word) and 'in bred'.

I have read about this extended family on line in the Daily Mail for the past three days ( huge article). As yet I have not read anything in the Brisbane's Courier Mail or heard anything on the news. Have I missed the news items on the TV or in the press or has it not been reported in Australia ?

There's certainly less 'out there' here than there is in the DM. No idea why they have taken it on board so much, but they're a law unto themselves Who knows why they print the majority of what they do.
