I'm Fuming

Hi all
Sorry to go off the subject of visa's but im fuming:curse::curse::curse:
One of my neighbours told me yesterday at school that my 2 sons have been in her bushes and broken at tree. I apologised and said I would help with any damage. she said no. This neighbour has been in the middle of getting rid of theses bushes for 2 years.
Anyway now thinking about it I am mad because
A. her husband told my son a few months ago that it was OK to play here.
B. all the kids on street play here now and again (even her child) so why mention it now.
C. there was another child at the time playing also. This childs family take no sh#t and everyone is scared of them so thats why she wont have said anything to them.
D. the neighbour who told her is a busy body and has said she didnt really want to tell her becuase then her daughter would suffer from my son. As if!!! My son who is only 6 is a cheeky monkey but not spitefull at all. This neighbour who as the daughter is always bitching about someone and thinks her daughter can do no wrong.
What should i do?
I really want to go to neighbour and say I know my children went in the bush but so do others. Also why dont you speak to other parents. My children always get the blame and I am sick of it. There children come on my drive and throw stones everywhere, climb on my fence and have even picked the flowers out of my tubs.
Should I say this?
Ps: they are not even talking to me at school now and they have ignored my mum today when she picked up my youngest.
It sounds as though we are the kids I know, but I am quite sensitive and dont like an atmosphere.

What a bunch of bitchy neighbours you have. :curse: Don't rise to it and anger yourself even more but next time they come to your door tell them to p**s off and talk to someone who cares. They obviously think that you will take anything said about your kids but at 6 I hardly think that he a major bully. If they knock again tell them about the stuff that their kids do in your garden too.

What a stupid woman your neighbour is falling out over kids. Some people can't see futher than there own noses. Just leave her to get on with it.

But remember if you have a big fall out when it comes to selling your house you have to put that down now and the silly cow isn't worth it.

These people obviously have nothing better to fill their insignificant little lives with!!
I know its hard but ignore it and if anything is said in the future just laugh and say "have you got nothing better to worry about?"
In my experience this attitude pisses people off far more than confrontation.
As my mum always said - you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
The nicer and more pleasant you are the more they look like fools too.
You have apologised to the owner of said bush and its none of anyone elses business from there.
Hope that maybe helps

Re: I'm Fuming

This reminds me of a street my sister lived in years ago. There was this girl about 12 who kept on doing things but other children always got the blame as no adult ever saw them (including my nephews getting into trouble), and this had gone on for months.

One day I was visiting my sister and she was laughing her head off. Apparently this perfect Miss Goody Two Shoes had done yet something else but two policemen not in uniform had seen and frogmarched her to her front door where her mother opened the door in amazement, and all the neighbours clapped and cheered as at long last she (Miss Goody) had been uncovered.

Needless to say the girl kept a very low profile after that.

Hi there
Oh dear there are some very childish people about aren't there?
Firstly, take a deep breath and then have a  (Well maybe it is a little early yet, but any excuse)
As others have said don't cause a rift as you do not want any repercussions laster down the line. Also, act as if everything is ok by making a point of being jolly when you see them and saying good morning/afternoon to them, but loud enough to make sure that they hear you. If they don't answer then they are definitely not worth waisting your breath on.
If the neighbour does bring it up again tell her that you were not aware that there was still a problem and ask her to bring it to the attention of the other children's parents, (and perhaps politely mention what you have to put up with).
Good luck

Im sorry but this sort of thing would be niggling at me and i would have to say something. The fact that shes too scared to confront the other neighbour and vented her frustrations out on you with regards to your kids would really really pee me off and i know i woundnt be able to let it lie!
IMO ! Id say my peace ( your nobody whipping boy blah blah) and turn on my heels and walk off without her having the chance to reply! :curse:

Re: I'm Fuming

Well last night I went to the neighbour's who own the bush and told her how I was feeling. I explained that my children are no angels and asked her if she had spoken to the other childs mum. she said no because she fels intimidated by her. I said this is 1 of the reasons I am angry. Becuase I dont intimidate you, that means to can tell me but not her. That is unfair. She agreed and said sorry. I also explained how her husband had told my son he could play there. she said he did say that last summer when he was mowing the lawn but didnt think damage would be done. I also asked what proof she has that my sons made all the mess. I explained that all the kids go in there (even her own) she said he didnt and asked him and he admitted sometimes he does. (HA) I was shaking with anger and told her I can feel my ears burning because I know do goodeer neighbour talks about me and my son. Neighbour with bush didnt deny.
Anyway this morning at school Do gooder neighbour being very nice and I was cool. I got home and noticed 2 of them talking. After that do gooder came to my house to ask if she has done anything to upset me. I said yes and explained the above. She then says my 6 year old son does not like her 6 year old daughter. So what! He doesnt hurt her or pick on her, he just doesnt want to play with her. I asked her why couldnt she tell me about boys in bush instead of telling tales. She thought I knew what they where doing. I said r u calling me a bad mum. I thought they where in other lads garden and didnt know they were in this bush. She then said my son rode down on his bike (with other kids on bike there) and banged her gate and lock is loose. I said, was it my son who broke it? she said Im not sure but I told him not to bang my gate. I told her how sad she was and gets too involved in kids business. I told her I dont trust her with my son and that she is a bully to him and he is scared of her. Also the reason my son wont play with her daughter is because of her, not her child. She started crying and said she was only trying to do best and look how I've made her feel. I said to drop it and move on, but in future if she has a problem to come and see me. And also I dont want to here about petty childrens arguments. I told her I try not to get involved in my sons arguments because they have to learn to communicate themselves and I wont always be there to fight there battles.
She went of home crying and now I feel guilty and am also worried in case this backfires on my son.

Im sorry your feeling guilty hun but dont, you did the right thing, she probably went off crying because she knows that your right and the truth hurts! and shes now feeling bad because shes' blown it all out proportion (shes a busybody that needs to get a life). I doubt she'll say anything to your son now.

Parents like that do my head in :curse: Glad you stood your ground & stuck up for yourself.
I've had experience with nasty kids & mum's not doing anything about it so I know how annoying it is. Hope things get better :)

Well done, you have got it off your chest now and maybe they won't be so quick to be round having a go again. Don't feel guilty because she sure didn't when she was bitching about you and your son:thumbsup:
